Tibial Component Alignment Focus Group

Rotational alignment of the tibial component is an important factor in the functional outcome and survival of total knee arthroplasty. The tibial rotation study group is working on the related topics and has completed the first paper on the topic, which is available here. The head of the group is Prof. Reha Tandogan.

Infection


ESSKA-EKA has set up a multicentre study Infection that would eventually lead to creation of a European consensus. Initially there will be two research groups working on survey and database.

Task force for survey project: Deidary Kader, Sandro Kohl, José Filipe Salreta, Bruno Violante, Michael Hirschmann in cooperation with Olivier Borens.

Task force for database project: Antonia Chen, Sandro Kohl, Roland Becker, Robin Strachan.

The first project included creation of survey with questions on TKA and surgical treatment that all ESSKA members were asked to complete. Findings from this survey will help to create database.


Osteotomy database/registry

ESSKA-EKA in setting up an osteotomy project that would eventually lead to creation of European consensus. Initially there will be one research groups working on survey and database.
