  Admission criteria
Ordinary
members

Qualified medical doctor practising professionally in an European country.

Extraordinary
members

Qualified medical doctor practising professionally in a non-European country. anyone who, without being a medical doctor, has a particular scientific interest in the association's activities (e.g. PhDs, physiotherapists, etc.).

 
PTs &
Residents

• Residents, who must provide a certificate every year of his of residency. By applying for this category, the candidate agrees to become automatically a full (ordinary or extraordinary member) on the term of his residency.

• Physiotherapists or anyone who, without being a medical doctor, has a particular scientific interest in the association's activities

Honorary
members

An extraordinary honour that may be granted by the Main Board to anyone who makes an exceptional contribution to the development and prestige of the association.

Life members

An extraordinary honour that may be granted by the Main Board to anyone who makes an exceptional contribution to the development and prestige of the association and who was formerly an ordinary member of the association.

Emeritus
members

Status that may be awarded, at the request of an ordinary or extraordinary member and following a decision by the Secretary General or Main Board to that person, if the latter has retired or has withdrawn from all clinical and/or research activity but nevertheless retains a scientific interest in the association's activities.

Corresponding
fellows

Medical doctors outside Europe (usually a former "travelling fellow", but not exclusively).

ESSKA Membership category for Resident’s and PT’S

ESSKA is pleased to announce the creation of a new membership category; specifically for Resident’s and PT’s.

ESSKA will accept residents and PT’s for society membership following the rules mentioned hereunder:

The conditions of the new category:

•    The annual membership fee is 75 € (instead of 120 € for regular members)
•    Membership includes your personal access codes to the ESSKA web site as well as to Springer where you will be able to consult the KSSTA Journal online.
•    You will also benefit of reduced entrance fee to the biannual ESSKA Congresses.
•    You will receive the society Newsletter and a diploma certifying your membership
•    Candidates for this category are required to produce a certificate stating their level of training (PTs 1x at application; residents every year upon payment of membership fee).
•    For residents: the subscription will automatically turn into a full membership after the accomplishment of the residency period and the price of the membership per year will be adjusted to 120 €.
